Leaves:

1. Treats skin problems: Rangoon Creeper’s leaves are used for skin problems such as boils and ulcers in the form of juice. It works effectively to settle boils and abscesses.

2. Remedy to treat headaches: It is also used for headache and applies on the forehead, which can work efficiently in reducing headaches.

3. Remedy to treat Dysuria or painful urination: You can also make a tea by boiling the leaves which help to get relief from pain while urinating.

Seeds:

1. Banishes Intestinal worms and Parasites: Dried seeds of Rangoon Creeper are also beneficial. This works to treat intestinal worms and parasites.

2. Seeds macerated in oil are applied to parasitic skin diseases in China, and seeds are also used as vermifuge.

3. Seeds are given with honey as an electuary for the expulsion of entozoa in children in Moluccas and India.

4. Ripe seeds are roasted and administered for diarrhea and fever.

Medicinal Uses of rangoonMalli

1. Spematorrhoea, Weakness

Take leaves and flower (3 gms) of Irangun malli. Wash to clean dirt and then grind to extract juice. Take this juice twice a day empty stomach.

2. Leucorrhoea

For treating white discharge or Shwet pradar drink flowers and leaves juice of Irangun malli.

3. Diabetes

Extract 4 ml juice of Irangun malli flower or juice of fresh leaves. Drink regularly twice a day. This juice can be added to karela juice.

4. Digestive disorders

Irangun malli leaves juice can be drink to cure digestive disorders. Or chew few leaves of this vine few times a day.

5. Cold, cough, coryza

Take the flowers and leaves (1 gm), tulsi leaves, clove in water and prepare decoction. Drink this decoction few times a day.

6. Parasitic worms

Eat ten seeds of Irangun malli two hours before last meal to expel parasite form body. Children should take four seeds only.

Precautions for rangoonMalli

  • In large doses irangun malli cause hiccups, dizziness, vomiting, and pain in the abdomen, diarrhea and even unconsciousness.
  • An allergic reaction can cause skin rashes with or without itching, painful swelling of ankles and increase body temperature.
  • Avoid heavy consumption of Rangoon creeper herbs when pregnant and while 

3-6 hrs of direct sunlight

Place your plant where it has direct access to sunlight. Direct light is when the plant receives yellow sunlight beams for at least 4 to 5 hours in a day.

Water when topsoil is dry. Don't over water.

Poke your finger/plain small stick into the soil to check the moisture.
Water when the topsoil (1-2 inch) in pot feels dry to touch..
Apply water probably in the morning or evening time.
Do not overwater the plant.
As a rule of thumb, water the plant thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy season.
